Body Wash for the Winter?!

Tomorrow I will release my Creamy Milk Body Wash. I am very excited about this product. I have been working on it for months and it's finally perfect. This body wash is unlike anything I've ever tried. It looks different, it feels different and it is just different. This is a hybrid body wash that is a mixture between my Silk & Satin Body Cream and shower gel. This is not drying like shower gels yet it gently gets the dirt off your body. The Body Wash makes small bubbles with loads of lather using your poof. The poof is the best way to get the lather going because I do not use sulfates to create the foam. I use milder surfactants so your skin won't dry out but it is at the cost of making it foam easily without using a poof. If you use your hands you can get lather but it will take a little effort and maybe a little more Body Wash. This Body Wash is a pure luxury at an affordable price. The price is $10 for 8oz. of the Creamy Body Wash and tomorrow you will see why I have this price. The body cream, surfactants and everything I added make this such a wonderful treat. I add a whole can of coconut milk per gal. of product too and coconut milk is just so creamy feeling but don't worry you won't feel sticky. I also add a lot soy silk to my mixture which gives it an off white color and a mild odor but the scent easily covers it up. Oh yeah, did I mention it comes in every scent that I carry?! Yup! It sure does! I love this shower gel, it's wonderful and just fantastic! I tried to give it a pearl look by adding a pearl additive but it didn't work. I think it is because of the color and ingredients. It does help stabilize the foam though and so I will just keep adding it. :) It took me months to get this recipe right and I'm not taking anything out or adding anything else to the mixture. The only sulfate is from the pearl booster that was added and that was only 2oz. per gallon too. My ingredients list is at work and when I put up the product for sale I will explain the ingredients list because it is long, but most of the ingredients come from the body cream. :) Right now I have only a few bottles of Body Wash wanting new homes. Since business has been slow I find myself not needing to make as much product right now.

That is all the news for now. :)

Fall slowly turns into Hibernation

Now that it is Fall and I am closer to my vacation time to see Mr. Brat, I am working more than ever at my full time job. It has slowed me down on putting out my new product but I will release it hopefully this weekend if it comes out perfect. My Creamy Body Wash is amazing but I am working on the lathering part. I will add some thickener tonight and let it set up for a few days and test over the weekend. If it lathers up then I will put it up for sale by Monday.
My Body Cream has arrived but I was waiting for some artwork to show off the new logo of Brat's Creations! It finally arrived and I can not wait to tell you guys all about the logo and how it came about this weekend. It's simply amazing!! The Body Cream will also come in a 4oz bottle with a pump.

That is all for now. Happy Fall!!

New Product out soon!

I was trying to thicken up my new batch of Silk & Satin Body Cream and it would not thicken up. So, I didn't want to scrap my project and throw out the lotion. I decided I would just have to make my Creamy Coconut Milk Body Wash with it. I was going to use another body cream but when life gives you liquid body cream, make a body wash! Currently it's being heated up to allow everything to mix together. I added soy protein and that turned it a light amber color. I hope the pearl paste I add makes it a little lighter. This body wash will be SLS free. Sodium coco-sulfate is in the pearl paste but it will be such a little amount in the final product. I want this body wash to be a little thicker than normal so I added a few thickeners to it that will hopefully thicken up the liquid. It is already at normal thickening for a shower gel thanks to the other ingredients that I have added but I would like to make it a little thicker. I can't wait to try this out in the shower. :)

This means it will be another week or two before I bring back my Silk & Satin Body Cream. Probably at the end of October it will show back up.

Treats for our pets?!

We all love our furbabies and love giving them treats as well. Well I was thinking, since people order for themselves and over two legged creatures from Brat's Creations why not throw in a free treat for the furbabies. :) I am looking around for a treat that I can add for cats and dogs. As soon as I figure out what treats I would like to include for the furbabies I will make an announcement so people can tell me when they order if they would like a treat added to the package for their furbaby for free! That way you both will have something to look forward to when you order. :)

Also, I am still waiting on my pumpkin fragrance oil to come in! As soon as it does I will do a dance. :) I am out of my body cream and I want to try and thicken it up before putting it back up so it may take a week for me to get it just right.

Back from Sick Leave

The shop is open after my sick leave. It was allergies and the medication I am now taking has totally cleared up my watery eyes and stuffy nose. I feel great!

Taking a Sick Break

I am feeling under the weather right now. Stuffy nose and watery eyes have been keeping me out of my work area so I closed down shop until I feel better. Then I will do a thorough cleaning of my area before opening. I always like to do any type of cleaning after I get over a cold or sinus infection. Even though I have not been in the area during my sickness or ever before my sickness but I still like to clean everything.

So, once everything is clean just the way I like it I will open back up. :)

Fall, la la!

As of yesterday it officially became Fall! Yippie! I ordered a few scents for the fall but the one I was really hoping to get in was out of stock so I will need to wait a week to order it. It was the Sweet Pumpkin that was out of stock. :( It's very popular and I shouldn't have waited so long to order it. I will put the scents up this weekend.

Also, I really love the new body cream, but it separates so easily that I am going to tinker with the next batch to prevent it from separating. It does that even without me adding fragrance oil to it. It's packed with so many wonderful oils that I am totally okay with it separating since a quick shake will bring everything back together but then it will separate out again and you gotta shake it again before use. Those pesky oils like to be on their own. :) It's okay though, it's totally worth it because even with the separation I am always reaching for it after I get out the bath tub. Personally, I don't think I am going to shake it up anymore and just use it like it is. It doesn't need to be shaken up but some people like uniformity. :) I just like feeling smooth.

New Scents Coming Soon!

I ordered 3 new scents for the fall.

Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil
Southern Home Blend
Sweet Pumpkin

The Sweet Pumpkin is supposed to be a more fresh and sweet pumpkin then spicy. The Southern Home Blend has base notes of cedar, tonka bean, benzoin, vertiver and black pepper. Middle notes of vanilla absolute, myrrh and sweetgrass. Top notes include turkish rose, italian bergamot and a little cardamon and nutmeg.

I am going to be stingy with the cinnamon essential oil when used in products. I don`t want people getting burned so I won`t be super scenting anything and instead I will use the recommended amount.

I can't wait for these scents to come in because there is so much you can do with these. I also added a Fall List to the front page. They are just scents that would be wonderful or the fall that I already have in stock. :)

Quick Post

Hey everyone!! Well, things have been kind of hectic in my personal life so I haven't been able to buy the stuff I was hoping to buy for Brat's Creations this month. I'm talking about a few new ingredients to ix up some new products with. When sales pick up I will get the ingredients that I need to make some new products.

I am trying to figure out what scents to buy for the fall. I would like to buy some scents for foody, sweet, green and fruit lovers. Hey, there are fruits and veggies that are in season in the fall so why not buy some of those ya know? Fall just isn't for food & spice scents. :)

September is here!

I have a new product up for sale, It's the Silky Smooth Body Cream. I only have a few up for now, but will get more shortly.

I have been thinking about a fall scent list and right now I don't think I will have a fall scent list up, but instead I will just buy a few fall scents to add to the scent list. Right now I really want to focus on getting more products on the site so a large fall scent list will have to wait until next year.

Once I have all the products that I want up I will start doing special scent lists.
Oh remember to take the poll so I know what you guys want ASAP. :)

I didn't make this item from scratch because it has everything that I would use to make my own. :)

I will sell it in a 4oz jar for $5.50.

Hydration Cream - Aloe Vera Extract, Shea Seed Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Glycerin, Sunflower Seed Extract, Willow Leaf Extract, Amalaki Fruit Extract, Algae Extract, Fennel Fruit Extract, Emulsifying Wax NF, Palm Stearic Acid, Cetyl Esters Wax NF, Quaternium-79 Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Sodium Lactate, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Oat Flour, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Allantoin

Slow & Steady

Things have been slow on the ordering front but that's okay. :) You gotta spend money on school supplies and stuff right now. :)

When not filling out orders or working at my day job I am outside tending to the koi pond to bring it back to it's beautiful state. :)

I am going to be doing a sleep study tonight so I will not be able to answer any emails or pms until tomorrow, but I'm going to leave the shop open since I will only be gone for a night.

I'll just do some knitting while I'm there. :)

Also, the new perfumes that are up in the shop have some wonderful lasting power. The longer they cure the longer the scent seems to last on me. :) I am really loving this perfume.

Over and out!

Dirty Perfumes!

The perfumes are finally up! I put them up last night and I even tried some in Pomegranate Lemonade. Man! I love it. I like to spray perfume on my clothes because it will last longer and I woke up today smelling of Pomegranate Lemonade as well. So, I'm really glad it has great staying power. I have noticed that perfume smells stronger and better then yesterday so the longer you let it cure the better the perfume will be. :)

Product Month

The perfume base is supposed to arrive today and as soon as it arrives and I inspect it to make sure it's alright I'll put the alcohol based perfumes up for sale. As soon as I get the salt for the salt scrubs they will be up too. I don't know how long it will take to get them up on the site. I haven't purchased the dry oil spray and I may hold off on that until the end of this month or beginning of next month. The bath salts will appear once I get the ingredients I need and test it out. :)

I will also be changing up my labels a bit because I'm tired of the current ones. When I start to grow even more I will get professional labels that fit the personality of the store. :) Naughty. :)

Product Month!!

I call this month product month and what products will be released during this month? Well, my goal is to release the dry oil perfume and alcohol perfume! Alcohol perfume will be released this coming week. As soon as my artisans alcohol comes in it will be ready and up. :)

Hopefully if sales are good the dry oil perfume will be up. :)

What will be up after my perfumes? Well, my salt scrub made of butters and oil. It will be called 3-some Salt scrub. It has Mango and refined shea butter along with Grade A Olive Oil. :) It will not be as scrubby as my sugar scrub because the salts will be fine but it will be nice and it does feel nice. I am a person that loves scrubby scrubs but this one did feel nice and scrubby enough. Dead sea salt and dendritic salts are what I will be using for this scrub. :)

Ingredients: Salt, Mango Butter, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, fragrance

After I release the 3-some salt scrub I will then release a sprayable lotion, regular lotion and body creme. These will not be handmade by me because I have found some great bases that use high quality oils/butters and other quality ingredients. You guys know that I wouldn't just pick a popular base and sell it. It has to be something that I would make myself and I am EXTREMELY picky about bases. I have to feel that they are the best. More details about this when it's closer to the release date.

Once these are up I will start buying a few fallish/winter scents to add to my scent collection. :)

That's all for now. :)

Happy August!!

This month I have a goal of releasing two new products. A dry oil perfume spray and an alcohol based perfume spray. As long as orders come in at a good pace I should have these by the end of the month or next month. Since it's almost back to school time I figure things will be slow while people are using all their money for books, clothes and other things. So far I have the perfume sprayers but no base.

The dry-oil perfume will just be cyclopentasiloxane aka cyclomethicone. This is the base for dry-oil perfume. By itself it doesn't feel all that moisturizing although it does leave a silky after using it. This is why many companies add other oils to make the dry-oil even more moisturizing. I won't be doing that though. I just want this base to be something that is best used for scenting the body and rooms. Yup, it can be a room spray but I would try to make sure not to spray around things that you don't want to get stained. Things like silk can show spots if you spray this on it. The perfumes will be scented between 30-50% fragrance oils. This make sure the scent stays on you longer and a little will go a long way.

Information on new products:

2.5 fl. oz Silky dry-oil perfume ($10)- cyclopentasiloxane, fragrance oil

1 fl. oz. Dirty Perfume ($10) - SD40B Alcohol 200 proof, hexylene glycol, fragrance

Also, I will be adding this information to my shop listings but I just want to say that the majority of my products are sold by volume and not weight. There are only two products sold by weight which are soaps and foamy milky bath. Everything else is sold by volume so if the container says it holds 4oz that's what I put down. It will always be more in weight but I'm not worried about weight. :)

That's all for now. :)

Opening again and new ideas!!

I will be reopening Sunday with new soaps and I'm so excited too! The vacation has been wonderful and I'm sad to see it end but even while on vacation I have came up with a new product idea. Right now I am suffering from a lot of joint pain and muscle pain and I am going to see a Specialist about my paid to figure out what's going on with me. I'm only 24 so I should not be in so much pain on a daily basis. Well, Mr. Brat and I went to a bath store and got some bath salts. I'm not a person that really likes them because it's just salt and I never really understood what was the purpose of a salt bath but this bath salt had other ingredients that made it wonderful. I laid in the tub and just soaked and my whole body felt much better! The stuff I bough was really expensive so I can't afford this stuff all the time, so I thought about making some of my own and for Brat's Creations! I will use oils, various bath salts and a few other things to make a nice moisturizing bath salt. Of course this won't be released for quite a while because I'm working on releasing my perfumes. I want to release a dry oil perfume and alcohol based perfume ASAP. Then I will release a body butter and spray on lotion.

I have so much that I want to add to Brat's Creations and I'm really excited too. It will take a while to add everything, but I'm hoping it will happen. :)

Violets, Mummies & Lilies oh my!

Well a few scents that many have you been waiting for have finally arrived!

New Scents:
Ancient Egypt
Buttercream Frosting
Cherry Merigenue
Polynesian Plumeria
Sugar Cookie
Water Lily
Violet

Everything smells wonderful, but my favorite has got to be Ancient Egypt. It's unisex and all around wonderful. It's complex, mysterious and reminds me of Egypt.

I also added a lot of customer scent combos. I didn't realize that I have made so many combos since I last updated the list. :)

Awesome Scent Month

I must go on vacation a lot more often. The orders are coming on very fast. :) This has really allowed me to buy more scents for scent month. :)

Here is the final list of scents that will arrive this week. :)
Amazon Tigerlily
Buttercream Frosting
Cherry Meringue
Plumeria
Puakenikeni
Queen of D’Nile - notes of warm amber, frankincense and myrrh with hints of patchouli and musk enhanced with notes of vanilla.
Rainkissed Leaves B&BW Type
Strawberry (will be replacing Wild Strawberry upon arrival. This is a stronger better strawberry scent.)
Sugar Cookie
Water Lily
Violet

After I receive these scents I will work on next month which I will call Product Month. I want to release my dry oil perfume as well as my alcohol-based perfume that month. I'll also try and release a body buttah. So all money that comes in will go to releasing new products for a month or two.

I have also decided to carry a haircare and facial care line. This will hopefully happen sometime before December. :) I have my testers already and they will be tested before being released. More news and information will come in later months. :)

More Scents Coming & Good News!

Thanks to all the lovely orders coming in I have been able to order 1/3 of the scent I have been wanting. :)

Coming next week:
Buttercream Frosting
Cherry Meringue
Plumeria
Queen of D’Nile
Sugar Cookie
Water Lily
Violet

I promised myself more floral and foody scents. The Queen of D'Nile is a more deeper richer note and is actually part of my fall scent collection that I am letting everyone try because I know you guys will love it. :)

Also, I know there has been a lot of talk and concern about the use of Palm Oil. There are two sides to ever story, but there is also an alternative to buying Palm Oil from the places that may hurt the rainforest. There is a such thing called sustainable Palm Oil that you can buy. It's the exact same type of Palm Oil only the Palm Oil plantations do not damage the rainforest. I am going to be using Palm Oil from the USA which is considered sustainable and good for the environment. This means I can have my cake and eat it too. :) I only have a little bit of palm oil left so as soon as I run out I will be switching over. :)

Happy July

Things are going fairly steady and the custom blend limeade goes great with ALL the fruity scents that I have. It could possibly go great with foody scents. Speaking of foody scents I would like to know what my foody customers want. I can easily pick out candy scents, but when it comes to foody scents I have no idea. They all smell the same to me so I need some great ideas on what foody stuff I should add. The Fall/Winter fragrance will slowly be collected and put up. A few hints at what scents I plan on getting are more spicy and earthy. :)

I just want to say that if anyone ever has any questions about if a scent blend would go good together or if they are having trouble picking out scents, I am more than happy to help you. I love talking about scents and recommendations for all my customers. :)

I know some people may be unaware of what menthol crystals are. Here is a general idea. Have you ever chewed gum that made your mouth feel cold? What about that icy hot that you use and you get this insane instant cooling? Well that's what menthol is. It provides a chilling effect on the body. You feel a sudden blast of cold on the area you put it on and you also smell minty. It's great for those hot days. Menthol can cause irritation so don't spray it near your nose, eyes or sensitive body parts. What a heating scrub base does to your skin a menthol scrub does as well only instead of heat you get the chills. If you ever get some foamy milky bath with menthol in it it will make your bath water cold. It's totally cool and weird. I have no idea how it does it though.

Yay! Scents are up!

The new scents have arrived and everything smells wonderful! I made cherry limeade and it was delicious! I want to go to Sonic now and get myself a drinkie. :) The menthol crystals are strong and I put them in soybean oil to act as a carrier so it will stay liquid. :)

That's all for now!

More Scents for Scent Month

I need to increase my fragrance oil list badly and I plan on buying more oils. This time it will be mostly floral and foody ones with a few fresh ones. I am also looking at some fall/winter scents but considering TAT is so fast those won't be out for a few months, so I'm keeping those under lock and key. Also, considering I am going to be taking a break from school for the fall semester I can now work on the product projects that I have on my to-do list. This month will be dedicated to buying scents and next month will be dedicated to buying ingredients for products I have in mind. :)

Scents to get this month:
Amazon Tigerlily
Asiatic Lily and Cantaloupe
Bluebonnet Vanilla Ice Cream
Buttercream Frosting
Cactus Flower Honey
Cannellini Ricci
Cherry Meringue Bites
Cucumber Lettuce
Lilac
Peppermint EO
Polynesian Plumeria
Puakenikeni
Rain Kissed Leaves
Sugar Cookie
Summer Puddin'
Tahatian Tiara Flower
Violets
Water Lilies

Cross your fingers, toes and paws that I get all of them this month. That would really be awesome!!

New Scents are Coming

Yay! New scents are on the way and will be here next week. I forgot to order the Peppermint EO and so in a few weeks I'll order that. The Menthol Crystals are basically peppermint oil in solid form, but it's easier to just have the EO as well.

I know people have been wanting new scents to blend and mix for so many fun new scents. Now, you can make Limeaid and other things with the new scents coming in! I'm so excited too because I love to blend things and when customers come up with new blends it's always fun to create them.

Also, I need to get my butt in gear and make sure all your favorite scents in soap form stay in stock so you won't have to wait every two months for me to put some more up for sale. My goal is to try and keep a steady supply of the favorites and best sellers.

New Scents, New Love

Yay! The budget has been passed by my state which means I can spend some extra work money on fragrance oils!! I plan to buy them on Friday and here is the list of what I plan to buy:

- Lavender EO
- Lime EO
- Arctic Raspberry
- Pink Sugar
- Peppermint Oil
- Menthol Crystals (mix with your products to have a cooling feel on the body)
- Pink Grapefruit EO
- Maraschino Cherry
- Strawberry

I may not be able to get all of them but I do plan on getting most of them with this paycheck. :) I'm excited.

The only sad news that I have is that the Cookie Dough soap didn't come out as planned. It caused the soap to separate. :( Oh well, I'll rebatch and try again.

Saturday, June 27, 2009

What's that?

Well, this week has been so sad and stressful with the passing away of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett as well as my state not having a budget signed for the new fiscal year. I decided to throw myself into making soap and other stuff for my business. I made a nice new batch of sugar scrub and I made Pomegranate Lemonade, Watermelon Granita and Macintosh V2.0 soap.

My soap is what started Brat's Creations and it's the heart of my store. I need to always keep it in stock and make sure I have lots of soap for you guys. I want to have a whole box full of yummy soap and not run out of favorites like Macintosh V2.0, Watermelon Granita and Pomegranate Lemonade. I'll buy some bigger molds by the end of the year. I am going to make Cranberry Lemonade and Blood Orange Cotton Candy tomorrow.

I also realized that it takes almost 20min. for the Macintosh soap to get to trace. No wonder it separated last time, it just takes more patience. This time I got it to a good trace and I think the soap is going to be purple since that's what it looked like when I poured it. We'll wait and see after it is popped out of the mold tomorrow. :)

I also wanted to say that in case anyone is wondering the reason why my soaps are softer than others, it is because I wrap them after 2 weeks. The only soap I didn't wrap after two weeks was the I'm nakie one and that's because it had no scent. Soaps will slowly lose scent as they cure and I want to make sure the scent stays as strong as possible so I wrap them after two weeks but I leave the end open so it can still cure. This makes the soap softer but the scent isn't weaker. :)

I'm nakie soap will be up tonight. :)

Here is a list of all the soaps that I plan to make this month and next month. More will be added of course.
- Flirtatious
- Sicilian Merlot
- Watermelon Granita
- Pomegranate Lemonade
- Cranberry Lemonade
- Macintosh V2.0
- Blood Orange Cotton Candy
- Cookie Dough

Slow & Steady

Things have been a little slow lately, but that's okay. :) Summertime is party time. I will probably use my own money from my job to buy some new products for Brat's Creations. I really want to have more stuff released by the time school starts in the fall. My family has been hounding me for perfume so that is what I hope to buy in July.

The shower gel I will be tinkering with again. I will probably add a few more ingredients to it.

That's all for now. :)

New product release!

The body gloss you have been waiting for has finally been released for sale. :) It's $8 for the 4oz bottle. Currently that is the only size I'm selling it in. A little goes a long way so a 4oz bottle will last a while.

The shower gel will need more testing since it is too runny and testers are having a hard time getting it to lather. I do believe it is the water that is causing the less lather action. I will make another batch in a few weeks. While I work on that I will work on another project as soon as more funds are available. My next two projects are the perfumes. :)

Summer TO DO list

My shower gel is wonderful to me, but it is thinner then the average shower gel so I will sell it for $1 an oz. I think that's fair and if I can thicken it up I will adjust the price if I need to.

Also, I know many are having problems with the labels that I use getting smeared. They are waterproof, however, they are still smearing when oil or if they get a lot of water on them. It's very annoying for them to do that because I buy water proof labels because they are bath products and they get wet. I have been looking for a solution and I could either pay someone to make labels for me or I could buy a label printer which is about $1,000. I think I will save up and buy the label printer. It will take a good while but hopefully next year I can buy it and make the labels look more professional. :)

A list of things to do and buy over the summer months.

- Macintosh Apple Fragrance oil
- Watermelon Granita Fragrance oil
- More bottles for products
- Make more soap
- Stock up on more supplies
- Buy perfumer's alcohol and dry oil as well as stuff to make lotion with.
- Rest
- Watch TV
- Make samples
- Rest
- Watch TV
- Repeat

In the Workshop

I'm currently in the workshop cooking up some goodies! :) Thanks to the sale I have bought all the necessary ingredients for the shower gel and I'm missing one oil for the body gloss so the testers can start testing. :)

Once that oil comes in, I'll be sending out the product for testing. :) I gotta restock on a few fragrance oils and ingredients and hopefully in the next two weeks I'll be able to do that as well. :)

I plan on making an unscented oatmeal soap as well as Blood Orange Cotton Candy soap this month. I am hoping the BOCC comes out right.

I have used the shower gel and I give it two thumbs up. I really like it a lot. It's like my soap only in liquid form. The bubbles are small, but plentiful and the lather is nice and creamy. I don't feel dry after using it either. It's not as moisturizing as my soap bars, but it's nice. I approve. I used one fragrance oil that made the shower gel really thicken up, so there will be some consistency issues with fragrance oils and so I will have to make sure it's at a good consistency when I scent each one. Simply adding more water will take care of thickness though but I don't want my customers doing that. They should be able to use it right out the box. :)

I'm going to send it off for testers for the final approval.

Gradation Sale Extended!!

I have decided to extend the graduation sale! :) It's doing pretty well and if I extend it I can push out new products faster. I almost have enough money to push out 3 new products with this sale and so I'm going to keep it going so I can get all the materials needed quicker. :)

Thank you everyone for making this sale so great! You guys and gals are truly awesome! Hopefully by the end of this sale I will be able to send out test samples of my body gloss, oil scrub and shower gel.

Yay for sales!! :) I love sales. :)

Graduation Sale!!

I plan to reopen Friday night and here is information about the sale. When I reopen Friday night everything will be 20% off in the store (when I reopen give me a few minutes to readjust the prices for the 20% off sale). No code will be needed as everything will be priced 20% off. The sale will run until Sunday, May 17 11:59pm. There will not be any new items up since I am slowly gathering all the ingredients I need but if the sale is a big hit I may be able to get many items faster. :) So start plotting those orders for when I reopen. I'm already preparing myself for the grand reopening and have made a lot of scrub base and I have lots of shipping boxes.

I have so much more space and so much more room that I can hardly wait to reopen. Everything is ready I'm giving my body some rest from all the moving I've been doing!!

Moving back home

Well, it's that time where I must move back home to Mississippi! I'm so happy. I've been in New Orleans for six years and I want to go back home. I have already packed up my business and that will be moved on Wednesday. I should reopen Friday night or Saturday morning since I'm not expecting it to take long to unpack everything since I'll be driving back and forth. I'll also have a sale when I return and I'll give more details on that later. :)

Happy Mother's Day!!

Good News & Bad News

Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is I got my crock pot and I was able to order the stuff I needed to make the shower gel with. Yay! The bad news is that I may have to push back the release dates of my items to the end of June. It just depends on how many orders I get and orders have been slow. I think it's due to the end of the semester and this is also the time when people move out of dorms and campus living and graduation is coming up so you gotta save up. :)
I really hope to have everything up by July at the latest. I know it's sad and I know you have been so patiently waiting for new goodies. I have too! If my new paycheck at my job is good I'll put it in my own money to buy what I need as well. I can't wait to do that because then I could really push all the new goodies that I want out without trying to save up. :) Yay! Y'all are so awesome and if you are taking finals and graduating, GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS!!

New Items in May

I plan on releasing 2-4 new items in May. It will be towards the end and after my testers have approved of the items. Here is the list along with ingredients. I know I will release 3 of the 4 items below. The Creamy Coconut milk shower gel is the one that's up in the air as well as the lip scrub. Things have not been officially priced but I'll try and give an estimate. This all depends on how well orders do before I move. In order to get new items I gotta make sales. :)

$4 (will be in 1oz. container) Brat's Lip Scrub: Sugar, Shea Butter, Soybean Oil, vitamin E oil, flavor oil

$1.25 or $1.5 per oz. Creamy Coconut Milk Shower Gel: Distilled Water, Coconut Milk Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Avocado Oil, Aprikot Kernal Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Preservative, tussah silk, fragrance, color

$1.75 per oz. My Body (body gloss): Apricot Kernal Oil, Avocado Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, preservative, fragrance

Then I will start working on my bath butter, perfume, dry oil spray and lotion.

New Things Abound

Hey everyone! If you are one of the few people reading this blog then I have some exciting news! I am planning to release new products but not until I move back home to Mississippi and get settled in the middle of May. I plan on releasing dry oil perfume, lip scrub, creamy coconut milk shower gel and a body gloss within a few weeks after I move home. They won't be released all at once and will slowly be released as I get the thumbs up from testers. I don't have the exact time frame down as I need to buy the ingredients and make the labels among other stuff. I am just really excited because these new items will certainly increase business and make customers happy (I hope). After another month or so I will release an alcohol based perfume, fizzy bath powder and a body cream. If there is anything else that you would love to see added to my store let me know. I'm always open for new ideas. :)

Beautiful Necklace

My boyfriend bought me this one a kind necklace from Charmed by Skye. She makes the most beautiful antique jewelry. Do you like going to antique shops or flea markets and seeing all those beautiful antique jewelry that has a price tag that looks like a zip code? Well, hers are just that beautiful but without the zip code price. It's affordable and just stunning.
Here is what I bought,

This is what it looks like in person: Note: The pictures are a little blurry.

Just breath taking. I have been looking for a necklace like this for ages! It's beautiful and perfect. I love handmade jewelry because all handmade jewelry has a beautiful flaw to them that lets you know they are handmade and not machine made. The stone is the perfect and the earrings were a freebie! I couldn't believe it. Just stunning!

Soap, Soap and more Soap

All soap is currently curing. The Chocolate & Vanilla Swirls soap is turning a lovely brown color and I think it is going to be beautiful when it's fully cured. I also cut Watermelon Granita and it's AKA(Alpha Kappa Alpha)colors. I wasn't going for that but it's really beautiful. I know now that the fragrance oil does well on it's own and doesn't need any titanium dioxide(white pigment) to make sure the colors stay normal looking. The ugly brown soap is Ugly Apple. It smells great though.
