New Holiday Scents!!

I haven't posted in a long time, but now I have something to say. New scents are coming for the fall/winter! I am very excited and very happy that I can get these scents. I wanted to have one scent for everyone to enjoy and blend with other fragrances that I currently have. I find that when I get scents that are easy to blend with other things my customers produce wonderful custom scents of their own. While I don't have a long list of fragrances I do hope that you find something that peaks your interest. Maybe try blending these new scents with others that I currently have to make something special. :) The scents will be in sometime next week hopefully. As soon as they are in I will put them in the scent list!

Great News & Looking for more

Well, it seems like I was wrong about my Pomegranate being discontinued. It's just out of stock for about a month. I have not heard back on the Sparkling Lemonade, but it's probably out of stock too. It is official that the Cranberry is discontinued though, but I have been wanting to change it for a while. I wish they would post an OOS sign instead of taking it down. I was all worried for nothing!

I am looking to expand my floral collection. I feel that I am neglecting it and the spring/summer is the perfect time to do this. If there is anything you would like to see offered let me know.

Fear Not!!

There's sad new in Brat's land. My Pomegranate, Cranberry & Lemonade scents have been discontinued by my supplier, but Fear Not! I have a lot of lemonade and cranberry left and half a bottle of pomegranate left. I am contacting my supplier in hopes that they will buy some for me. A pound will last me a good while. If they are unable to get more for me then I will find another place. I already have promising leads so don't fear. The lemonade will not be hard to find at all, but pomegranate is either sweet, tart or both and I want juicy & tart. It seems that a few places have what I am looking for. I would also like to find a tart Cranberry once this is all used up.

Even if I don't find an exact duplicate of the beloved pomegranate & lemonade I am positive they will still be great. So don't worry. :)

Summer shipping

I live in Mississippi and right now it is so hot you could boil an egg outside. As of Friday there is a heat advisory for my county until Sunday 7pm CDT. The heat index will be between 103F-106F. It gets around 90F between 9am-10am already and has been reaching 100F for the last two weeks anyway. I just want to let everyone know that during the summer months, I will no longer be using any outside drop offs or mailboxes. All packages will be delivered inside at the Jackson, MS main hub post office or inside my work building. The main hub is only a mile away from where I work and so there's no problem with me getting there at all. I have been delivering them inside ever since May, but I just wanted to reassure everyone that I am doing it now as well.

While, I do not think anything will go bad because of the packages being left outside, I'd rather just minimize any heat exposure. I figure the USPS will be leaving the packages outside when they are delivered and that is enough heat for them. If I can avoid any type of heat exposure on my end I will do so.

Each item will be put in it's own Ziploc bag to minimize damage if any should occur in route to you. I hope that nothing happens to anyone's package, but if it does please contact me immediately so we can work it out.

New Scents!!

The new scents are here and they smell amazing!!

Sea Spray - Blend of Marine, Citrus, Woods, and Ozone. This scent is just fresh and awesome. It reminds me of the sea and it is very calm and relaxing.

Peach Zinfandel - Blend of Peach Nectar and White Wine. Lets have a sexy party! The peach in this one is amazing and true to its name. I love how bold and beautiful it is.

Cucumber - An all natural fresh cucumber smell. I never though I would smell a cucumber scent that actually smelled like fresh cucumbers! This one is all natural too and will be wonderful mixed with citrus. Pink Grapefruit and cucumber might be something to try.

Neapolitan Ice Cream - Creamy Vanilla, Sweet Strawberry Syrup, Chocolate Ganache. If I actually liked chocolate, I think I would want to get a bowl of this and eat it.

New Scents and other fun stuff

It is time to add some new scents to my stock. I am thinking 3 new scents will be added. I am not sure what they will be exactly, but I plan on ordering them by Friday so they will be here next week. Some will be able to be mixed with other scents while some may not be.
My sale will end June 30.
One last thing. From now on all orders over $60 will ship free within the United States and discount shipping will be applied to other countries. This isn't part of the sale, this will be permanent.

Samples

Well, I took a piece of my pomegranate lemonade soap from my inventory and took a bath with it. I noticed something very sad about it. It had no scent at all. It lathered just like all my others and was creamy and great, but there was no scent. I went and sniffed all my other soaps that are for sale and they all had a strong lovely scent. It seems that the pomegranate lemonade soaps don't last long when it comes to the scent. I have at least 10 bars of this soap left and I am not going to throw them away. Instead I'll just add them to the list of things I will give out as samples. I figure that it's better to give them to customers then to sell them or throw them away. I also have a naturally unscented soap that I will be giving away as well. The soaps feel just as great as my scented ones, but they just have no scent. I won't be making anymore cold process pomegranate lemonade soap because the scent doesn't last at all and I like things that will last for a little while.

I have quite a few samples that I want to give away as well. I am trying to empty out my sample box so you may find more samples than normal and some will probably be the same scent. It's all in the spirit of the sale as well. :)

Cleaning is a lot of work

Cleaning is a lot of work. I didn't realize how long it would take me to reorganize and move everything around in my new area. I've been doing it since 3pm and I'm still only half done. My new shelves were not brought to me today and instead will be brought to me tomorrow. I will do everything I can to get everything up and running on Saturday but please be prepared for a Monday opening. I'm going to work as fast as I can to get this store open Saturday evening. I will have a 20% off sale and maybe a little more. I have not decided on that one yet. I will take the rest of the day off to rest my back. Tomorrow will be more organizing and cleaning. I have all my cleaning tools ready to go!

Making Changes & Sale

I have been enjoying my vacation and today I made a fresh batch of sugar scrub and bodywash. I used my new formula for the bodywash and it still feels the same but with less odor. Yay! It smells like soap now. I am also in the process of rearranging everything in my work room. New shelves are being put up tomorrow so I will be moving things, organizing and cleaning. I also need to look at what soaps I have left and what soaps I need to make. My shop will open Saturday evening if my shelves are all up tomorrow. I will have a 20% off sale on everything in the store, soaps may be discounted more, but I have not decided. The discount will already be taken off the products when they are put up. So, I will actually need to take down everything for a few minutes so I can readjust the prices when I open up the store. I just want to thank everyone for your love and support and have a great summer!!

Mini Vacation

Hell everyone! My shop is currently on vacation because I am finishing up classes and finals are coming up. I will hopefully have my first 4.0 ever! Yay! I am so excited! Once exams are finished I plan to reopen with a sale. I will need a few days after my exams to get ready for the sale so I plan to reopen around May 15. I am also making a chamge to the formula of my body wash. I am going to reduce the amount of soy protein to cut down on the mild odor that it contains. While it is very easy to cover up the mild odor, I feel that if I reduce the soy protein it will be even better when adding scents. The change will not affect the quality of the product in any way nor will it affect the price.

Spring Cleaning

Hi everyone! Well, it's spring and that means spring cleaning. I have been going through my inventory and figuring out what I need to make more of. I need to make more of everything lol. My palm oil is now sourced from America so it's sustainable and I am going to start making soap with the new palm oil next weekend. I will also start working on the bath butter as well. My Oil Me Scrub will come out in the fall but I may throw it in to a few orders for free until then. :) You may also see an increase in the number of samples given out because I need to get rid of all samples made last year. I want to make fresh new samples. So, I am going to try and toss as many samples as I can with each order until I run out.
I need to also buy more stock pots and utensils for my shop. I just want to let
everyone know that everything I use to make bath and body stuff with is used for
that purpose only. It has never been used to make food or anything else. I run a sanitary business. :)

I made it to the middle of my school semester with flying colors! I am so glad my customers have been patient with me and the times I open. I try and give a nice notice if I am unable to open on the weekends but sometimes I get sick a day or two before opening and am unable to do it. If everything goes well I am always open Friday-Sunday and close Monday-Thursday because I work full time and I also have school. On weeks where I have finals, midterms or am sick then I will put a notice up saying I will be closed on the weekend. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but this ensures that I don't fall behind on orders and it also ensures that I put my all into each and every order. I enjoy decorating, coloring and scenting everyone's order and it takes time, energy, focus and love to do it. :)

Also, I am in the testing phase of my Oil Me Scrub. I am testing it in sugar form. Stay tuned for more details on this scrub. I am thinking the price range will be $5.50 for a 4oz. and $10 for a 8oz. It's just pure butters and oils. I am trying to figure out what to do when the summer time gets here. If I have to add a chiller pack then I may add $1.50 to shipping to ship the item, but only on the first item. I'll refund the excess like I always do. Having it melt isn't a bad thing though.

One last thing. There has been a price decrease in my 8oz. Give Me Some Sugar Scrubs. They have gone from $10 to $9.

New Store Hours

I posted this on the wrong blog lol. I am sorry for the late news but my store is now only open Friday-Sunday and will be closed Monday-Thursday. This is because I am now in school and working full time so I want to focus on my school work while still being able to send out orders in my stated TAT. I am always available for questions so you can just send me a pm and I will get back to you asap. Normally within 24 hours.
